How do I use the Innovators Academy? Where do I start?

The Innovators Academy is a completely self-directed platform and perfect for anyone just starting their entrepreneurship journey! If you are a student, Login in and make yourself a student account. We reccommend starting on Module 1 and working through each sequence. Already working on a startup? Feel free to start on modules most relevant to you. We recommend setting aside 2 hours a week to complete each module (1 hour to review the content, 1 hour to get started on the workbook). The workbooks complement the module content, go in more depth and contain great activities to help you take action!

If you are an educator or teacher, you can use the Innovators Academy in your classroom. Login as an educator and download additional support materials such as lesson plans, slide decks, and workbooks.

Why was the Innovators Academy created?

At the League of Innovators, our mission is to build entrepreneurial acumen for Canadian youth at scale. We are a charity focused on amplifying the impact of future innovators and changemakers by offering accessible programs and education for youth aged 15-25. Since entrepreneurial skills are transferable in any career field, we believe every youth should have access to resources to learn more about it and recognize the power they hold in our economy! We’ve built the Innovators Academy to be valuable to everybody regardless of their existing knowledge of entrepreneurship.

Who is the Innovators Academy for?

The Innovators Academy was created with youth in mind, however, anyone is welcome to use it! The Innovators Academy was also created for educators to use in their classrooms. As an educator you can register here and have access to additional support materials such as lesson plans, slide decks, and workbooks for each module.

What is the cost?

None! All materials on the Innovators Academy are free to view and use. All you need to provide is an email address to download workbooks! If you’re an educator using the platform, you’ll be logging in to access the additional educator materials.

Is this useful to me if I don't want to be an entrepreneur?

Yes, it is! Entrepreneurship is more than just a career path. It is a mindset that is useful in any career choice you make. The entrepreneurship mindset encourages patience, self-awareness, creativity, resourcefulness and more. We encourage you to check out Module 1 Why Entrepreneurship and Module 2 Before Your Business Comes You to learn more.

How do I use the workbooks? Can I print them or use them online?

Since the Innovators Academy is self-directed, you may find value in completing the entire workbook or just parts of it. The workbooks serve as a complement to the ongoing process of learning about entrepreneurship. They can be worked on over a period of time at your own pace.

Our workbooks are downloadable as PDFs that can be filled out digitally or printed out. Your choice!

I have a business idea, what should I do?
